At Cabo Fisterra, where the Way of St. James ends and the Atlantic crashes against the cliffs, two pilgrims find the body of a woman: Sofía Serrano, an employee of the pilgrims' office in Santiago de Compostela. Chief Inspector David Acosta, freshly transferred from metropolitan Valencia to rugged Galicia, takes on his first case at the remote office.
